Fabulous Chum.. New pathways

I had a visitor last week.. my lovely chum who I have been friends with for almost 30 years.. I don't like the sound of that but I love her.

We have had a horrendous time with the patch of garden around stone henge with all of he rain from winter its been underwater and close to ruined and so.. with a lot of help from 2 tonnes of stones, some new plants, ad best of all  my friend,  (who was incredibly driven and determined to finish the task ..I met my match for sure.. when I was flagging on she went)  in a day and a half we turned a mud swamp into this. Now I just need the new grass seed to grow all around and we have perfection :-)

Who would know that shifting that many stones.. digging paths.. removing old ruined stones.. faffing about with membranes and all of that whilst in the baking sun would be such good fun.. but it was  :-) thank you lovely lovely chum.. you are AMAZING!!! and guess what H .. Mr Waen.. washed the old stones .. you would be proud  :-)

And then.. you would think we may be done would you not .. but no my lovely chum / slave driver then decided that the steps which were formerly covered in weeds should be the next challenge.. so glad otherwise they would still be very weedy steps but instead they are looking smart and snazzy..

baby craft

Mr Waen is expecting a grandbaby.. cute .. so I have crafted.. One jumper and 1 quilt.. the quilt has in the picture Mr Waen's famous Bunny drawing.. instantly recognisable by any person who has spent more than a week in his company and one that the son's recognise straight away so now the grand baby will also be introduced  :-) he is a funny looking thing.. I juts want to be clear that its not my sewing it was made to the brief and indeed to the design by Mr Waen.
Thought whilst I was on the crafting mission I had better start thinking Christmas so I also knocked up 40 jars of marmalade.. Yum :-)

Mr W's Bees have arrived.....

A very nervous looking postman came to the door.. they don't normally do the dreaded lane but had to this time as he was carrying livestock.. The bee's have landed.. they have settled in well.. worked out where home is.. can be seen buzzing about (they are not as cute as bumble bee's mind you) but as there is so much for them to gather we should get good honey..

The bee box.... was loud!!

off he goes with his smoker..

and the all important hat  :-)

May in Photo form..

Its been a busy old May.. I have been on holiday with Mammy Waen to New York and before that it was gardening, gardening and more gardening.

Waen has woken up after its winter snooze and so now its back to being a very full time job.. the weather still means that we are soggy in places but that can't be helped.

There is some sad news from May .. the Rachael Turner sisters have all been murdered along with our lovely little ducklings by a pair of very mean old crows.. So whilst I was jaunting around NYC Mr Waen obtained an air rifle and is now in full Elma Fudd mode and will get those pesky crows..

So the piccies;
